South Union Seminar
April 23 - April 24
Our annual gathering of participants interested in knowing more about Shaker history. This year’s theme focuses on the past 50 years of the Shaker Museum at South Union. The event will begin Friday evening with dinner at the Shaker Tavern and will resume Saturday at the Centre House for a day filled with presentations and special tours. Reservations required: $75 museum members, $85 non-members
Spring Antiques & Garden Market
May 22
“NEW” Our Antiques and Garden Market will be in the 1875 Grain Barn. The day will provide shopping opportunities for visitors, herb and seed planting demonstrations, cooking with herbs demonstrations and other fun informative spring activities! 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
L & N Railroad Luncheon
May 22
Enjoy a hearty late 19th century menu typical of what would have been served at South Union’s famous railroad hotel. Served at the 1869 Shaker Tavern Bed and Breakfast. Reservations required: $22 museum members, $25 non-members
Music in the Barn

Celebrating the completion of the 1875 Grain Barn, a Kentucky Shaker Landmark. Details TBA; A music event Reservations Needed
Civil War Living History
November 06
Civil War Living History with Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, and Civilian demonstrations. Your admission to the museum and living history is included with purchase of the Shaker Breakfast or regular paid museum admission. Adults $8.00 Children Ages 6-12 $4.00 and Children 6 and under free.
A Shaker Breakfast

A Civil War-era Shaker breakfast that promises to please and to astonish . . . featuring fried chicken, scrambled eggs, sweet potatoes, pork sausage, asparagus, apple pie, buttermilk biscuits and more! Seatings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Reservations required: $22 museum members, $25 non-members.
Christmas at Shakertown Holiday Market
December 03 - December 04
One of Kentucky’s finest antique and craft markets, just in time for Christmas! Features over 30 regional antique vendors and artists. Event is free to the public with a canned food item or monetary donation that will be distributed to those needful in the community. 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. For a ‘first chance’ opportunity to shop, make reservations for the Preview Party, Friday, December 3, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy coffee and desserts and listen to Christmas carols being performed by the South Union Shaker Quartet. Reservations required: $10 per person.
